DIY Back Care?

One of the cons of living in heels and even running is that occasionally your alignment can get thrown off. My back has been acting up lately and since I don’t have insurance, I won’t be going to a chiropractor.

If this sounds familiar, maybe you should try Pilates. The core workout can help address back issues, feelings of unevenness, and can help lengthen limbs and the spine. Celebs like Miley Cyrus and Audrina Patridge swear by it.

I already have a lot on my fitness routine plate, but I’m trying to squeeze in a few Pilates moves when I can. I notice a difference even after one session. And believe it or not, I think doing it for extended periods of time (I’ve taken my share of classes in the past) pushed me from 5’4 to 5’4.5. I know, I know, sounds crazy, but experts claim that it can help stretch the body back to it’s intended length.

Cassey Ho is a Pilates guru. I’ve shown some of her workouts on here in the past. This vid is long (30 minutes-once you’re skilled at Pilates it can be done in 15 minutes), but I think it’s worth it if you’re starting out.
